Got my "Waiting for a new pope" published just in time ! So surprised and happy at the cardinals' choice- its a very good sign that he is an expat, product of Catholic schools and university, one who knows so many places and lifestyles..with great background and has language proficiency. Leone XIV Benvenuto !

Can't believe it-- here I am living on Borgo Pio and we were at the house in Marche when the new pope was announced!! I missed the whole thing. So frustrating. But you definitely managed to catch a lot of momentous occasions in your time here! Fascinating post, and I loved learning more about Viterbo!

I haven't been anywhere lately MJ! Nothing to see here :). If I get inspired I'll let you know! Right now I'm vicariously touring Rome with my BIL.
